Daymint is a free daily keepsake ritual: you write one small true line, and it is struck into an original bronze coin that lands in a vault only you can see. This policy explains, in plain words, what that does and does not do with information about you.
Who we are
This site is operated by the AI Agency. Daymint is for personal keepsakes and fun — it is not therapy, diagnosis, or health, safety, financial, or medical advice, and the coins are ornamental art, not currency. What we collect
We keep things minimal and ask for no account. There is no sign-up, no email address, no profile — we never ask you for personal information, and there is nothing here for you to log in to.
Like any website, our hosting records ordinary technical request logs (IP address, timestamp, the URL requested, and your browser’s user-agent string) for security and diagnostics. We do not use those logs to build a profile of you or to identify you.
When you strike a coin, a single global counter for the day ticks up by one — it stores only the total count, never your line or anything that identifies you. When you share a coin, we store one snapshot row so the share link stays short; it holds the coin’s legend, date and ordinal, keyed under a random id — no account, no IP address, nothing that points back at you.
Where your coins live
The line you write and each coin you strike are saved locally in your own browser’s storage. There is no shared feed, nobody can browse your vault, and a coin never leaves your device unless you deliberately share it. Clearing your browser’s site data erases your coins — including your streak — and because your unshared coins have no server copy, we cannot restore them for you.
When you do share a coin, we store a single snapshot row so the link stays short and the preview card loads reliably. That row is keyed <code>COIN#<random-id></code> and holds one field named <code>d</code> whose value is the whole share token — the same token already encoded in the link. The token carries your coin’s legend (the line you wrote), its date, and its ordinal number; for a vault-roll share it carries four integers (total coins, current streak, longest streak, and a layout salt) and no text of yours. The row carries no account id, no IP address and no session — nothing that ties it back to you. Anyone you send the link to can see the artifact the token describes, so share it where you would like it seen.
Separately, a collective day-counter named <code>coins-minted-<date></code> counts how many coins were struck worldwide each day. It stores only the running total — never any individual legend — and carries no identifier.
Advertising & cookies
We use Google AdSense to show ads, which is how this stays free. Google and its partners use cookies (including the DoubleClick DART cookie) to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. Where the law requires it, Google’s certified consent message asks for your choice before any advertising cookies are set, and you can reopen it to change that choice at any time.
You can also opt out of personalised advertising through Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info/choices. Opting out means the ads you see are less relevant, not that they disappear.
Analytics
We measure basic, aggregate usage with Google Analytics — page views, and whether a coin was struck or shared — so we can tell whether the ritual is worth keeping. Those measurements are counts, never the text of your line, and we hold no identity to attach them to. Advertising and ad-personalisation storage default to denied until you choose otherwise in the consent message.
How long we keep things
Your coins stay in your browser until you clear them; that is entirely in your hands. Shared-coin snapshots and the daily strike counter are stored in DynamoDB and are kept indefinitely while the service runs; there is no automatic expiry on those rows today. Technical request logs are kept only as long as they are useful for security and diagnostics and are then discarded. We hold no database of users, because there are no users to hold.
Children
Daymint is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)
You can accept or reject advertising cookies at any time and clear them in your browser, and you can erase everything Daymint has put on your device by clearing this site’s data. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising beyond the ad cookies described above.
Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to its processing. In practice we hold almost nothing — but write to us and we will tell you exactly what, or confirm there is nothing to give.
Changes to this policy
If we change how any of this works, we update this page and the “last updated” date above. There is no mailing list to notify, so the date is the honest signal — check it if it matters to you.
